The Association is delighted to announce that our development contractor, McTaggart Construction will commence the construction of a mix of 50 new flats and terraced properties on the site of the former St Agnes School, Tresta Road on 14th August 2017.
The Association’s Chairperson, Linda Brown said, “This is a major achievement to deliver the Association’s first new build housing development, which will regenerate the former St Agnes School site. It will also continue the regeneration of Cadder and our aim to continually improve the quality of housing for existing and prospective tenants of the Association, following the completion of the new community centre and our on-going programme to install new kitchens and bathrooms in all our tenants’ homes”.
The Director, Kenny Mollins said, ‘The Association has been developing plans to regenerate the former school site for a number of years and we recognise the importance of this development at the gateway to Cadder. This development has been made possible through the commitment and effort of our staff, development consultants and McTaggart Construction, as well as the Scottish Government and Glasgow City Council for their grant funding which makes new build housing financially viable for housing associations”.
