Thank you so much to all of our residents who took part in our recent consultation relating to the proposed increase to rent and service charges of 6.6%.  We will provide a full breakdown of your views and how we have responded in our Spring Newsletter.  On reviewing your feedback, our Board noted that 85% of tenants and 70% of owners disagreed with the proposed level of increase.  As a Housing Association, it is important that we ensure we have enough money to cover the cost of delivering our services to you and throughout your community. Our costs rise every year, usually by the rate of inflation.   However, we ask for your opinion so that we can take your views into account in our decision making.  As such, our Board has listened to your concerns and has reduced the level of increase to 5.6%, effective from 1^st April 24. We will issue formal notification of the increase and your revised charges within the coming weeks.

 

Many of those who responded also added some comments about the services we provide and ways in which we can improve those services.  We have since been in touch with those residents who offered this additional insight into their experience of our services and are learning from those discussions.
