Policy Consultation – Rent Arrears Policy
The Association’s Rent Arrears Policy outlines Cadder HA’s approach to managing rent arrears which requires to ensure maximum income for the Association whilst offering support to tenants who find themselves in rent arrears.
This policy is due to be updated and a proposed policy has been approved by the Board and we are now asking for the views of our tenants. We would really appreciate your feedback on the proposed policy.
This proposed policy is an update of the previous Rent Arrears Policy and takes into consideration all legislative and regulatory requirements.
The Rent Arrears Policy directly affects the Association’s tenants who find themselves in arrears, but also indirectly affects other members of the community as the rental income not being received can affect the Association’s ability to invest in its homes and the wider area.

The Association has considered feedback from staff, the Board, and the Residents Group in drafting this proposed Rent Arrears Policy, and is asking for feedback from our tenants to ensure that the policy meets the needs of the community. Feedback from the consultation process will be reviewed by management and if necessary, the Association’s Board.
